New Lothrop couldn't get anything going against Montrose pitcher Erica Hines in a double header sweep on Monday.  New Lothrop pitchers also through well in the 2 game but the hornets could only manage 5 hits in the first game loosing 1-0.

Mallory Heroux took the loss while only giving up 5 hits 1 run and striking out 9.  

Brynne Birchmeier and Sara Dammann each had 2 hits apiece to pace the hornets.  The hornets threatened to score in the top of the 7th when Birchmeier lead off with a double.  Dammann had a bunt single, followed by a bunt single by Heroux to load the bases.  NL couldn't push a run across ending the game with 2 strikeouts.

The second game was more of the same.  New Lothrops Delaney Gross through a great game but NL couldn't get to Hines losing 2-1.  Gross went 6 innings, giving up 2 runs 2 walks, 5 hits and striking out 3.

New lothrop out hit the Rams 7 to 5 but could only pushed across 1 run.  They scored there run in the top of the 2nd when Dammann lead off with a single, Heroux had a bunt single and Dammann scored on a ground out by Gross.
