The Hornets played 2 lopsided games against Mt. Morris winning 17-0 and 16-0 both in three innings.

One of NL oldest standing records from 1979-1982 was broken in the second inning when Marissa Rombach scored her 152 run of her career.  Rombach a four year varsity starter, as a freshmen scored 54 runs (one short of a season record), followed it up with 35 runs scored as a sophomore and 42 runs as a Junior.  

The Hornets made quick work of Mt morris scoring 10 runs in the first inning.  Brynne Birchmeier had a double and single in the inning collecting 4 RBIs. Rombach, B. Heroux, Ava Thorsby, Delaney Gross, and Victoria Henige each had at least one RBi in the first

The 2nd inning NL scored 7 more runs thanks to RBIs by Mallory Heroux, Gross, Henige, Birchmeier and Rombach

M. Heroux got the win in the game giving up one hit, 0 runs, striking out 5  and walking none.

The second game was more of the same with NL beating host Mt. Morris 16-0.

Mallory Heoux threw a perfect game over 3 innings striking out 7 of the 9 batters she faced.

Sara Damman swung the hot bat for the hornets in the second game driving in 4 runs with 2 hits.

The Hornets scored 6 in the first thanks to RBIs by B. Birchemeier, Ash Orr, Brianna Herous and Dammann.  NL scored 6 more in the 2nd.  Dammann and Ava Thorsby each doubled in 2 runs and Birchmeier and M. Heroux collected RBIs.  The Hornets finished out the scoring with 4 runs in the 3rd.  Dammann again had the big hit scoring 2 with a double.
