New Lothrop defeated Chesaning 8-0 in the first game of a MMAC league doubleheader.

Mallory Heroux threw a gem on Monday giving up 0 runs through 7 innings.  Heroux gave up 2 hits 2 walks while striking out 12

New Lothrop got the scoring started in the 1st inning when Brynne Birchmeier singled with 2 outs followed by an Ashylyn Orr triple.  In the bottom of the 3rd the Hornets scored 4 runs.  Marissa Rombach lead of the inning with a walk, stole second and scored on a line drive single off the fence by Victoria Henige.  Orr had a infield single.  Sara Dammann put down a bunt reached on a error which also scored a run, Mak Wendling reached on an error which scored Orr.  New Lothrop finished out the scoring int he 3rd inning when Mallory Heroux singled in Dammann.  New Lothrop rounded out the scoring in the 6th when Rombach lead off with a walk advanced to 3rd on a single by Henige.  Rombach scored on a sac fly by Birchmeier.  Orr followed with a double scoring Lexi Birchmeier who was courtesy running for Henige.

New lothrop had 12 hits in the game.  Orr, Henige, Wendling and Heroux all had multiple hits.  Orr was a HR short of the cycle having a single double and a triple on the day

The second game New lothrop made quick work of the visiting Indians with a 4 inning 16-1 mercy. 

Delaney Gross got the win she went 4 innings giving up 1 unearned run 3 hits walking 0 and striking out 4.

The Hornets scored early and often in the game.  They scored 4 in the first inning. Rombach lead off with a double, Henige then hit  a 2 run home run, Birchmeier, Orr both singled.  Dammann sacrificed bunted a run in and then one more run scored on an error on Mak Wendling at bat.  New lothrop scored 6 more in the 2nd with a lead off walks by Henige, Orr, singles by Birchmeier, Dammann and a double by Lexi Birchmeier.  The hornets scored 2 more in the 3rd with a double by Henige and singles by, B. Birchmeier, Wendling.  The hornets had a walk off mercy in the bottom of the 4th scoring 4 runs. M. Heroux singled to lead off the inning, followed by a single by Rombach, walk by Henige to load the bases.  B. Birchmeier singled to score 2 runs then Orr hit a walk off double to end the game

The hornets had 15 hits a drew 5 walks in the night cap.  Henige had a home run, double and 2 walks scored 3 runs and had 2 RBIS, Orr had a single double 2 walks and 3 RBIS, B. Birchmeier had 4 singles scored 4 runs and 3 RBIS.  M. Heroux had 2 singles and a walk, and Rombach and single double and scored 2 runs.
