New Lothrop beat MLS 6-2 on Friday.  Mallory Heroux started the game a got the win.  She went 7 innings allowing 2 hits 2 runs 1 earned walking 3 and striking out 11.

New lothrop got the scoring started in the 1st inning with a walk by Marissa Rombach and a double by Victoria Henige.  The Hornets scored 2 more in the 2nd inning when Mak Wendling lead off with a double, followed by a walk by Ava Thorsby, and a single by Henige.  They scored another run in the 3rd with a single by Ashlyn Orr she stole 2nd base then scored on a single by Wendling.  The hornets didn't score again until the 6th inning when Rombach reached on error, followed by a single by Brynne Birchmeier and doubles by Orr and Sara Dammann to finish out NL scoring.

NL had 13 hits in the first game lead by Henige and Orr with 3 hits apiece.  Birchmeier, Dammann, Wendling all had 2 hits.  Henige lead the team with 2 RBIs in the game.  The hornets also stole 6 bases with Thorsby leading the team with 2.

The 2nd game was a little more lopsided in a 13-0 5 inning mercy for NL.  Delaney Gross started the game went 5 inning only giving up 1 hit and 1 walk striking out 3.  Thanks to a double play by New Lothrops defense Gross only faced a total of 16 batters on the day.

New lothrop scored 3 runs in the 2nd inning with walks by Gross, Lexi Birchmeier followed by a double by Rombach and a single by Henige to get the scoring started.  The Hornets put the game out of reach in the 3rd inning when they scored 10 runs.    Orr singled and homered in the inning and Heroux, L. Birchmeier, Rombach, Henige and Gross all had RBIs in the inning.

The Hornets had 14 hits in the game.  Orr went 3 for 4 and Mak Wendling, Heroux, Rombach and Henige all had multiple hit games.    Orr had 3 RBIs and Henige 2 for the Hornets
