New Lothrop split a pair of games with visiting Cass City on Saturday.  Losing the 1st game 1-6 but bouncing back in the 2nd game winning 11-3.

Game one New lothrop out hit Cass City 6 to 5 but with 6 walks and 4 errors were to much to over come.  Mallory Heroux started on the mound  went 5.2 inning giving up 5 hits, 5 walks and striking out 6.  She gave up 6 runs in the game with only one being earned.  Brianna Heroux went 1.1 innings struck out 3 and walked 1.

Victoria Henige, Brynne Birchmeier, Delaney Gross, Mak Wendling, M. Heroux and Sara Dammann each had a hit.  Gross collected the only RBI on the day driving in Birchmeier in the 4th inning

2nd Game

New lothrop won the 2nd game of the double header 11-3 while racking up 19 hits.  Delaney Gross started the game and earned the victory.  She gave up 3 runs on 7 hits walking no one and striking out 6. Brianna Heroux came in in relief and gave up 0 runs on 6 hits with 2 walks and striking out 2

New Lothrop got things started in the first inning with a walk by Victoria Henige, followed by a singles by Brynne Birchmeier, and Ashlyn Orr to load the bases.  Sara Dammann single driving in Henige and Birchmeier.  Gross had a bunt single followed by and 2 run double by Mak Wendling.  New lothrop scored 2 more in the 2nd.  Cass city closed the gap in the 3rd inning scoring 3 runs to make it 6-3.  New lothrop scored 1 in the th and 6th inning to open up the lead.  In the 6th Gross and Wendling hit back to back home runs to put the game out of reach..

Dammann lead the team with 3 RBIs on the day.  Birchmeier had 4 hits followed by Orr, Dammann and Mallory Heroux with 3 hits a piece
