New Lothrop Softball started the season by 2 pitchers combining for a 8-0 shutout against visiting Carson City.  Delaney Gross started  the game and went 5 innings.  She gave up 3 hits walked one and struck out 6.  Mallory Heroux finish out the game throwing 2 inning with not hit 1 walk and 4 strikeouts.

New Lothrop started the scoring off in the 1st with a single by Henige, double by Birchmeier and a home run by Orr.  They scored 2 more in then 2nd with singles by Dammann, Henige and Birchmeier.  The hornets rounded out the scoring by adding 2 in the 6th with singles by Dammann, Rombach, and Birchmeier

New Lothrops offensse was paced by Brynn Birchmeier on had 3 hits and 5 RBIS,  Victoria Henige and Sara Dammann both had 2 hits a piece.  Ashlyn Orr added a home run in the first inning

NL had 11 hits in game and stole 7 bases.  Hornets defense did not commit a single error and Henigne lead the team with 11 total chances

2ND GAME

New Lothrop jumped on Carson City early and often to win the 2nd game of the double header 17-1.  Brianna Heroux started the game and was credited with the win.  Brianna went 3 innings allowing 3 hits and 1 run stirking out 5.  Mallory Heroux threw one inning of relief giving op 0 hits and striking out 2.

The hornet scored early and often scoring 2 in the first, 5 in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th innings to invoke a mercy rule after the bottom of the 4th

Victoria Henige lead the hornets in the 2nd game going 3-3 with a walk and four RBIs. B. Heroux also went 3-4 and also had 4 RBIS.  The hornets racked up 17 hits on the day.  Mak Wendling, Henige, Heroux, Ashlyn Orr and Brynne Birchmeier all had multiple hits.
