New Lothrop out hit Lainsburg 15 to 5 in the regional final but could not overcome some costly errors losing 9-5.

Mallory Heroux got the start and the loss going 3 innings giving up 3 hits 6 runs (2 earned) 1 walk and striking out 2.  Gross came in relief and went 4 innings giving up 2 hits 3 runs (0 earned runs) walked 2 and struck out 4.

After an emotional come from behind win in the first game, NL could not string any hits together.  NL fell behind 6-0 in the top of the 4th when then gave up 4 unearned runs in the inning and could never recover.  They tried to battle back scoring 1 run in the bottom of the 4th.  Ashlyn Orr lead off with a single followed by a single by Gross and double by Mak Wendling.  

Score remained 6-1 until the top of the 6th when Lainsburg scored 3 more unearned runs.  NL would not quit and scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th to make game 9-5.    Wendling lead off the inning with a walk, B. Heroux, Rombach singled and then Brynne Birchmeier hit her first home run of the year hitting a grand slam giving all the NL fans hope they may see 2 walk off wins.  The hornets gave everyone a show, loading the bases in the bottom of the 7th but could not get the key hit.

Rombach and B. Heroux lead the team with 3 hits.  Birchmeier had 2 hits including a grand slam 4 RBIs and scored 1 run.  Gross, Orr and Wendling each had 2 hits 

The Hornet finished the year 27-15
