Hornet Victory Over John Glenn

Closing out their regular season, the New Lothrop Hornets soared to victory over Bay City John Glenn, winning 3 sets to 1. The Hornets showcased their skill and teamwork.

Ashlyn Orr was a force on the court, racking up 5 aces, 12 kills, and 11 digs, proving to be a key player in the Hornets’ attack. Remington Knieper also shone bright, contributing 4 aces, 10 kills, and 10 digs, further solidifying the Hornets’ offensive prowess. Cassie Green (8 kills), Kayla Hopkins (4 kills) and Chloe Czymbor (5 kills) added to the kill total. 

Setting the tone for the match, Maddy Wendling orchestrated the Hornets’ offense with precision, dishing out 28 assists while adding 3 blocks,, 14 digs and 5 kills of her own. Ava Thorsby excelled in her defensive role, passing effectively and contributing 17 digs, showcasing the Hornets' solid backline with Sophie Henige and Ava Buterokos.

The Hornets dominated with consistent serving and aggressive attacking, ultimately sealing their victory

The New Lothrop Hornets defeated the Byron Eagles in a straight-set victory, winning 3-0 in an impressive volleyball matchup. Leading the charge for the Hornets, Remington Knieper showcased her all-around skills with 6 aces, 4 kills, and 10 digs. Ashlyn Orr powered the offense with a match-high 14 kills and added 8 digs, while Ava Thorsby contributed a stellar defensive effort with 14 digs and 3 aces. Maddison Wendling orchestrated the offense with 20 assists and chipped in 1 ace, helping New Lothrop control the tempo throughout the contest. The Hornets' balanced attack and strong defense proved too much for the Eagles.
