The 7th Grade Softball Team pulled off a thrilling 4-3 victory against Byron at home on Friday night. Both teams played strong defense, with the Hornets trailing 3-2 headed into the bottom of the fifth inning. With two outs, Sara Dammann got the team’s first hit when they needed it most, driving in Alexis Bruff and Delaney Gross for the win. Kayla Brunner earned the win from the mound, giving up only three hits. The Lady Hornets improved to 6-0 on the season. Their next game is against Durand at home on Wednesday.
