The New Lothrop boys and girls varsity track teams competed in their first MMAC meet of the season at host Montrose on Wednesday night taking on league opponents Montrose, Mt. Morris, and Ovid-Elsie.  Both the boys and girls teams came away from the night with a 2-1 record to start the season with both teams victorious against Mt. Morris and Montrose, but suffering losses at the hands of Ovid-Elsie.  The boys had individual overall firsts in the 800m (Stone Elkins), the 1600m (Cole Yaros), and the 300m hurdles (Alex Milks) as well as the 4X200m and 4X800m relays.  The girls team claimed individual overall firsts in the Discus (Carlyne Malone), the 200m (Izzy Heslip), the 800m (Lexy Andres), and the 300m hurdles (Emma Bishop) along with the 4X100m and 4X200m sprint relays. Their next league meet is schedule for Wednesday, April 26 at Durand where they will face both Durand and Chesaning.
