The past weekend, New Lothrop Boys and Girls Bowlers competed in the MHSAA Singles Finals at Battle Creek M-66 Bowl.  

On the boys side, New Lothrop sent two bowlers, Cole Bradshaw and Astin Andres.  In total, 60 bowlers in Division 4 bowled 6 games in the Qualifying Block and the top 16 would advance to the Singles Finals played in bracket format.  Cole Bradshaw finished the Qualifying Block as the 3rd seed, while Ashtin Andres missed the cut by less than 60 pins.  Cole lost in the semifinals, but earned a 4th Place MHSAA Division 4 Singles Final Medal.  

To get to semifinals, Bradshaw defeated Hunter Woodman (Bronson) 403-347 in the round of 16.  Then in the quarterfinals, Bradshaw defeated Andrew Sackett (Jonesville) 410-332.  Bradshaw would lose to eventual State Champion Alex McCarthy (Saginaw Nouvel) 426-314.

On the girls side, Isabella Dilts and Carlyne Malone qualified to compete at the MHSAA Singles Finals.  Similar to the boys qualifying block, 60 girls bowled 6 games to make it to the Singles Final Bracket (top 16). Dilts qualified 10th and moved to the finals, while Malone came up about 90 pins short of qualifying.  Dilts would eventually earn a 4th Place MHSAA Singles Final Medal after falling in the semifinals.

Dilts took on Savanna Taylor (Bronson) and won, 278-269, in the round of 16.  In the quarterfinals, Dilts defeated Jordan Downham (Allen Park Calibrini) 367-318.  Dilts then lost in the semifinals to Brooke Smith of Traverse City Christian 356-287.
