1st game: NL 7th & 8th grade coasted to an easy victory over Mt. Morris 14-1 on Wednesday 4/19. In the first inning, NL got their offense started. Sophie drove in one when Sophie singled. NL put up 5 runs in the second inning. NL's big bats in the inning were led by singles by Makenna, Addy, and Maya, an error on a ball put in play by Savannah, and a double by Audrey. Savannah was the winning pitcher for NL. The pitcher went for four innings before time ran out, allowing one run on one hit, striking out seven and walking one. #14 took the loss for Mt. Morris, allowing 14 runs on 13 hits and striking out 3. NL tallied one home run on the day. Savannah had a homer in the 4th inning. NL had 13 hits in the game. Makenna, Addy, Jayde, Sophie, Maya & Savannah each racked up multiple hits for NL. Savannah, Maya, Sophie, Jayde, Addy, & Makenna each collected two hits to lead NL. 

Game 2: NL cruised to an easy victory over Mt. Morris 14-2 on Wednesday 4/19. NL fired up on the offense in the first inning. Rory grounded out, scoring one run. NL notched five runs in the fourth inning. Ali, Brooklyn, and Savannah all contributed in the big inning with RBIs. Jayde was the winning pitcher for NL. undefined went five innings before time ran out, allowing two runs on one hit and striking out 10. Savannah, Jayde, Rory, Mikalah, Anna, Gabby, Makenna, and Ali managed to each get one hit to lead NL. NL tore up the basepaths, as five players stole at least 2 bases. Gabby led the way with 2 stolen bases. Anna had 10 chances in the field with zero errors, the most on the team. 

Overall this double header was a very productive one. Many teammates contributed to the NL success on Wednesday night. Although there is always room for improvement, for a first game NL showed up and showed Mt. Morris they are a force to be reconed with. 

NL takes on Lakeville at home on Friday at 5pm.
