Henige's hot hitting and Heroux hurls the Hornets to 9 straight victories

New Lothrop varsity softball has been on a tear the last week winning 9 straight games all in shortened mercy victories.
Victory Henige has lead the hitting attack in the streak batting .750 with 16 hits 7 doubles a triple and 10 RBIs. Mallory Heroux has won all 9 games in the circle only giving up 1 earned run striking out 77 girls with and ERA of .204 and the opposing team batting average against her of .136
The streak started with a 12-1 win over Onway. Henige went 3-4, Ava Thorsby, Addison Phillips, and Heroux each collect 2 hits. Alexandria Knieper had 3 RBIs, Heroux 2 and Thorsby 2.
They continued the streak with 10-0 and 17-2 wins over Mt. Morris. Henige had 4 hits and Heroux 2. The Hornets walked 22 times on the day.
The Lady Hornets traveled to Durand and handed the Railroaders to losses 12-0 and 20-7. Ashlyn Orr lead the team with 6 hits followed by Henige and Savanah Knieper with 5 hits. A. Knieper and Heroux had 4 hits, Thorsby had 3 hits in the double header. Heroux and A. Knieper each had 4 RBIS, Henige, S. Knieper and Orr had 3 RBIs apiece
Saturday the 17th the Hornets continued there winning ways by defeating Powers Catholic 12-1 and 10-0. Heroux threw a no-hitter in the 2nd game. Henige went 7-9 with 3 RBIs in the double header. Freshmen Gabby Kitchen and Addison Phillips had break out days each going 4-6, and each scoring 4 runs. Thorsby had 4 hits and 4 RBIs, Heroux had 3 his followed by A.Knieper and Orr with 2 hits apiece. Kitchen and Henige had 3 RBis each, Heroux and Phillips each had 2.
Monday the 20th the Hornets defeated visiting Chesaning 15-0 and 14-4. Henige and Orr each had 5 hits, Orr had 4 RBIS and Henige 5. Phillips had another good day at the plate with 4 hits 9 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Makena Gemalsky and S. Knieper had 3 hits each. Thorsby and Heroux had 2 hits each. Thorsby and A Kniepers scorted 4 runs followed by Orr, Phillips and Alli Hunt scoring 3.
The Lady Hornets finished in second place in the MMAC going 14-2 in league play. The Hornets currently have a record of 21-7
