New Lothrop Hornets end their softball season with a quarterfinal loss 5-0 to Clare.

The hornets couldn't get much going at the plate on Tuesday only collecting 2 hits.  NL did put some pressure on Clare with 6 walks and a hit batter but could not come up with the key hit to drive in runs.  Brynne Birchmeier and Mallory Heroux each had one hit in the game.

Mallory Heroux got the start and the loss in the game.  She threw a complete game giving up 5 hits, 5 runs, walking 3 and striking out 6.

The Hornets will look to re-load next year by sending off 7 seniors on Tuesday.  Marissa Rombach, Brynne Birchmeier and Sara Dammann were 4 year varsity starters, Delaney Gross was a 3 year varsity starter.  Brianna Heroux, Lexi Birchmeier played 2 years of varsity and Kennedy Birchmeier played one.  These young ladies collected 117 wins, 4 district, 2 league and one regional title in their 4 years.  

The Hornets finished the season 32-10-1
