Mallory Heroux pitched the hornets to victory on Monday. Heroux was dominant in the circle ringing up 16 strikeouts in NL softballs 5-2 win of OE. Heroux gave up 2 hits and 2 runs walking on over 7 innings.
The hornets broke a 0-0 tie in the 4th inning when Victoria Henige lead off with a single and scored on a Marissa Rombach double. The hornets would score 4 in the 6th. Delaney Gross lead off the inning with a single, Henige walked and Brynne Birchmeier would single scoring Gross. Ash Orr would have the big hit in the inning hitting a 3 run bomb to put the hornets up 5-0
Rombach went 3-3 in the game with 3 doubles. Orr went 2-3 in the with a single and home run
The second game of the double header was rained out.
