Bats were blistered as New Lothrop Varsity Hornets defeated Bentley Varsity Bulldogs 13-6 on Thursday.

New Lothrop Varsity Hornets opened up scoring in the first inning, when Joseph Torres doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

After Bentley Varsity Bulldogs scored one run in the top of the sixth, New Lothrop Varsity Hornets answered with one of their own. New Lothrop Varsity Hornets then answered when Tyler Kohlmann singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Hayden Wendling didn't allow a single run against Bentley Varsity Bulldogs, throwing a complete game shutout and leading New Lothrop Varsity Hornets to a 15-0 victory on Thursday

New Lothrop Varsity Hornets got things moving in the first inning, when Cole Bradshaw singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

New Lothrop Varsity Hornets put up six runs in the third inning. The rally was led by walks by Bradshaw and Caleb Sharp, singles by Tyler Kohlmann and Kadynce Geffers, and a sac fly by Jayden Martinez.

One bright spot for Bentley Varsity Bulldogs was a single by Nathan Mobley in the fourth inning.

Wendling was credited with the victory for New Lothrop Varsity Hornets. The hurler allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out seven.

Dominic Star was on the mound for Bentley Varsity Bulldogs. The righty went two innings, allowing eight runs on six hits and striking out one. Christian Straw threw one inning out of the bullpen.
