New Lothrop Varsity Hornets watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 10-0 loss to Chesaning on Monday. Chesaning scored on a single by #11 and a double by #15 in the first inning.

The New Lothrop Varsity Hornets struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Chesaning, giving up ten runs.

Chesaning got things moving in the first inning, when #11 singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

One bright spot for New Lothrop Varsity Hornets was a single by Cole Bradshaw in the second inning.

#17 got the start for Chesaning. The pitcher allowed four hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out six and walking zero.

Jayden Martinez toed the rubber for New Lothrop Varsity Hornets. The hurler lasted five innings, allowing nine hits and nine runs while striking out two. Joseph Torres threw one inning in relief.

Despite a 7-run deficit in the fourth inning, New Lothrop Varsity Hornets almost came all the way back, eventually falling 7-5 to Chesaning on Monday. New Lothrop Varsity Hornets managed three runs in the failed comeback. Ty Olsen and Cole Bradshaw came through with RBIs to lead the rally.

New Lothrop Varsity Hornets couldn't keep up with Chesaning early in the game. Chesaning scored on a walk by #2 in the first inning, a groundout by #17 in the first inning, a groundout by #3 in the second inning, and a single by #11 in the second inning.

Chesaning got things moving in the first inning, when #2 drew a walk, scoring one run.
