NL Varsity Volleyball took 2nd at the Bryon Tournament on Saturday. They lost to State Ranked Class B Honorable Mention Corunna 17-25, 25-16 in the final match.
In round robin pool play the Hornets beat Laingsburg 25-10, 25-19; lost to Byron 23-25, 19-25; beat Morrice 26-24, 25-16; lost to Corunna 14-25, 24-26 and beat Owosso 25-11, 25-13. The Hornets then advanced to the semi finals and beat Byron 25-17, 25-22 before losing to Corunna in the finals.
Kailey Wendling had 93 Assists, 63 digs and served 39/47 from the serving line with 2 aces. Jaren Bishop had 51 Kills, 50 digs, was 47/50 from the serving line with 10 aces and serve received 63/76 from the floor. Alyssa Schnell had 74 digs and serve received 61/63 from the floor, she also served 51/53 with 13 aces. Anna Johnson had 25 digs, serve received 41/43 from the floor, she also served 37/42 with 4 aces. Emma Muron had 33 digs, Katie Bitterman had 38 kills and Olivia Moore chipped in 9 kills and 12 blocks. Emma Bruff was 42/46 serving with 5 aces.
