The Varsity lady hornets took 2nd Place at their 15 team home tournament Wednesday!

In pool play the lady hornets beat Bendle 25-11, 25-6, Durand 25-9, 25-9 and split with Class C Honorable Mention Rogers City 25-20, 18-25. 

They advanced to the Gold Bracket and in the Quarterfinals beat 5th Ranked Class D Fowler 25-21, 25-21. In the Semi Finals beat Class B Honorable Mention Corunna 25-23, 14-25 & 15-11 and in the Finals lost to Beaverton 22-25, 17-25. 

Jaren Bishop led the hornets with 51 Kills and was 47/51 (92%) in serve reception with 36 Digs. She had 9 aces while serving 47/50 (94%) from the floor. Anna Johnson had 13 aces and was 46/51 from the serving line. She added 35 digs and was 47/55 on serve reception. Kailey Wendling recorded a high 73 assists and chipped in 3 aces while serving 55/61 (90%) from the floor. Alyssa Schnell had 8 aces and was 100% from the serving line (24/24). She recorded a high of 71 digs and was 49/51 (96%) in serve reception. Emma Muron had 28 digs while Emma Bruff chipped in 22 digs and was 24/28 on the serving line with 6 aces. Brianna Kline had 6 aces and was 32/35 (91%) from the serving line. Katie Bitterman had 17 Kills.

NL improves to 7-3-2 overall.
