The NL cross country team competed at the Greater Flint CC Championships on October 7^th.  The NL girls placed second in the small school division. Leading the girls’ team was Klara Mulcahy with a time of 22:34. Also racing varsity was Josie Bauman (22:51), Sara Dammann (23:23), Lexy Andres ((23:23), Olivia Gillett (23:54), Emmie Hebekeuser (24:34), and Maya Sovis (25:58). Competing for the girls in the JV race was Savanna Craven (25:03), Makenna Gemalsky (26:41), Izabella Martinez (30:35), Elizabeth Herbert (31:20), and Audrey Turnwald (31:45).

Lieu Vincke led the boys with a time of 18:39. Also competing in the varsity race was Kevin Heslip (18:50), Ty Sweers (19:36), Marshall Kruske (19:41), Jasper Andres (19:52), Noah Gillett (20:44),Sean Dammann (20:56), and Westin Sweers (22:20). Competing in the boys JV race was Connor Masterson (20:22), Colt Wolford (21:59.1), Alex Hughes (21:59.5), Matthew Hughes (22:45), Frederick Ziola (24:11), and Tim Schmier (25:10).

The team will compete next at the final MMAC Jamboree on October 10^th, hosted by Ovid Elsie at Uncle John’s Cider Mill.
