The NL cross country team competed at the Birch Run Fall Invitational on October 3^rd.  The NL girls won the small school division. Leading the girls’ team was Sara Dammann in 25th place with a time of 22:45. Also racing varsity was Olivia Gillett (44^th- 23:47), Klara Mulcahy (53^rd  -24:28.3), Josie Bauman (54th – 24:28.8), Laura Sharpe (82^nd - 26:40), and Emmie Hebekeuser (89^th- 27:03). Competing for the girls in the JV race was Savanna Craven (4^th- 25:55), Maya Sovis (7^th- 26:37), Makenna Gemalsky (24^th- 30:00), Izabella Martinez (25^th- 30:32), Elizabeth Herbert (32^nd- 33:17), and Audrey Turnwald (33^rd- 33:20).

The NL boys team placed 4^th in the small school division. Lieu Vincke led the boys, placing 49^th with a time of 19:05. Also competing in the varsity race was Kevin Heslip (62^nd - 19:26), Ty Sweers (87^th -20:23), Marshall Kruske (89^th  – 20:24), Sean Dammann (108^th – 21:29), Noah Gillett (130^th- 22:33), and Jasper Andres (25:58). Competing in the boys JV race was Westin Sweers (11^th-21:34, Alex Hughes (23^rd- 22:54), Colt Wolford (24^th-22:56), Matthew Hughes (24:02), Frederick Ziola (24:58), and Tim Schmier (29:43).

The team will compete next at the Greater Flint CC Championships on October 7^th.
