The NL  cross country team competed at the Dewitt Cross Country Invitational on September 30^th. The NL girls placed 3^rd in the small school division. Leading the girls team was Klara Mulchay in 12th place with a time of 22:47. Also racing in the small school varsity race was Sara Dammann (15th -23:36), Josie Bauman (18th – 24:27), Olivia Gillett (27th -25:20), Laura Sharpe (31^st- 26:57), and Maya Sovis (34^th-28:25). Competing in the girls JV race (all divisions) was Savanna Craven (27:05), Makenna Gemalsky (29:25), and Audrey Turnwald (33:49).

The NL boys team placed 6^th in the small school division. Kevin Heslip led the boys placing 17th with a time of 18:55. Also racing in the boys small school varsity race was Lieu Vincke (23^rd- 19:41), Marshall Kruske (30^th- 20:12), Ty Sweers (34^th-20:31), Jasper Andres (39th- 20:48),  Sean Dammann (42^nd – 21:29), and Noah Gillett (45^th- 22:08).  Competing in the boys JV race was Westin Sweers (22:40), Alex Hughes (22:45), Frederick Ziola (24:05), and Tim Schmier (29:32).

The team will compete next at the Birch Run Fall Invitational on October 3^rd.
