The NL varsity cross country team competed in the MMAC Jamboree #2 hosted by Lakeville on September 26th. The NL girls finished 2nd with 51 points. Leading the girls’ team was Lexy Andres in 6th place with a time of 23:17. Also contributing to the team score was Klara Mulcahy (8th -24:05), Josie Bauman (9th – 24:20), Olivia Gillett (11th -25:11) and Laura Sharpe (18th- 26:13). Also competing for the girls’ team was Maya Sovis (26:54), Savanna Craven (27:53), Makenna Gemalsky (29:43), Elizabeth Herbert (32:47), and Audrey Turnwald (34:51).

The NL boys team placed 3rd with 71 points. Lieu Vincke led the boys placing 8th with a time of 19:13. Also contributing to the boys’ team score was Kevin Heslip (13th- 20:04), Ty Sweers (19th-20:29), Marshall Kruske (20th – 20:32), Jasper Andres (22nd- 20:50), and Westin Sweers (24th- 20:59). Also competing for the boys team was Sean Dammann (21:24), Noah Gillett (21:45), Colt Wolford (22:14), Matthew Hughes (22:38), Kyle Hinrichs (22:52), Alex Hughes (23:36), Frederick Ziola (26:00), and Tim Schmier (27:04). 

The team will compete next at the Dewitt Cross Country Invitational on September 30th.
