The NL varsity cross country team competed at the Frankenmuth Cross Country Invitational on September 21st. In the women’s varsity race Sara Damman finished in 19th place with a time of 24:43. Also contributing to the team score was Lexy Andres (23rd -25:22), Josie Bauman (29th – 26:15), Klara Mulcahy (32nd- 26:58), and Olivia Gillett (38th -28:22). Also competing for the girls’ team was Emmie Hebekeuser (28:45), Laura Sharpe (29:38), and Maya Sovis (29:54). In the women’s J.V. race Savanna Craven led the girls with a time of 30:02 good for 9th place. Also competing for New Lothrop was Makenna Gemalsky (32:19), and Audrey Turnwald (40:02). 

In the men’s varsity race Lieu Vincke led the team placing 25th with a time of 20:27. Also contributing to the boys’ team score was Ty Sweers (37th- 21:38), Marshall Kruske (39th- 21:39), Sean Dammann (42nd- 22:40), and Jasper Andres ((49th- 23:26).  Also competing for the boys’ team was Noah Gillett (23:43), and Westin Sweers (24:47). In the men’s J.V. race Alex Hughes placed 5th with a time of 24:58 and Frederick Ziola placed 8th with a time of 29:31. 

The cross country team will compete next at the MMAC Jamboree #2 hosted by Lakeville on September 26th.
