The NL varsity cross country team competed at the Chesaning Invitational on September 14th. Leading the girls’ team was Lexy Andres in 17th place with a time of 23:32. Also contributing to the team score was Sara Dammann (18th -23:41), Josie Bauman (20th – 23:55), Klara Mulcahy (24th- 24:18), and Laura Sharpe (40th -25:23). Also competing for the girls’ team was Emmie Hebekeuser (25:29), Olivia Gillett (25:39), Maya Sovis (27:33), Savanna Craven (29:18), Izabella Martinez (29:55), Makenna Gemalsky (30:38), Elizabeth Hebert (34:35), Elif Arkan (34:54), Audrey Turnwald (35:09), and Denise Guenther (36:55). 

Ty Sweers led the boys placing 39th with a time of 20:09. Also contributing to the boys’ team score was Marshall Kruske (40th- 20:22), Noah Gillett (61st-21:23), Jasper Andres (64th- 21:32), and Sean Dammann (68th- 21:55). Also competing for the boys’ team was Westin Sweers (22:42), Alex Hughes (23:08), Tim Schmier (26:25), and Frederick Ziola (28:05). 

The cross country team will compete next at the Frankenmuth Invitational on September 21st.
