Game 1 @ Montrose win 16-6

New Lothrop weathered a scare by Montrose in the fourth inning where New Lothrop coughed up five runs, but still won 16-6 on Wednesday.  Montrose big bats were led by #1, #4, and #13, who all drove in runs. There was plenty of action on the basepaths as NL collected six hits and Montrose had one. NL opened up scoring in the first inning.  Makenna drew a walk, scoring one run. Savannah took the win for New Lothrop. Savannah surrendered one run on one hit over three innings, striking out four and walking zero. #5 started the game for Montrose. undefined surrendered 11 runs on four hits over two innings, striking out six.  #6 threw one inning in relief for Montrose. Addy went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead New Lothrop in hits.  Maya led New Lothrop with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 20 stolen bases.

Game 2 at Montrose win 10-9

It came down to the wire on Wednesday, with New Lothrop 7/8 2023 taking victory on a dramatic walk-off single in the late innings that sealed their victory over Montrose.  The game was tied at nine with New Lothrop batting in the bottom of the fourth when Addy singled on a 3-2 count, with 2 outs, scoring one run. Despite falling down by five runs in the third inning, Montrose tried to fight back.  Montrose scored four runs in the failed comeback on a single by #21, a error, a error during #9's at bat, and a single by #1. Montrose fired up the offense in the first inning, when an error scored two runs for Montrose. New Lothrop tallied five runs in the second inning.  The offensive firepower by New Lothrop was led by Maya, Addy, and Anna, who each had RBIs in the inning. Jayde was the winning pitcher for New Lothrop. Jayde allowed five hits and nine runs over four innings, striking out six. Addy led New Lothrop with three hits in three at bats.  New Lothrop stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Maya led the way with three.
