Jake Graves picked up two wins on the mound in relief, and Brady Birchmeier, Kollin Lienau, and Nathaniel Lane had three hits on the day in New Lothrop's 4-3, 13-4 sweep of Kalamazoo on Thursday. Game one went 8 innings, with Graves pitching perfect in the final three innings with five strikeouts. Brady Birchmeier knocked home Matt Kieffer for the game winner. In game two, Luke Birchmeier added a two rbi single to start an eight run rally in the 13-4 win. The Hornets (9-2, 4-0) host Detroit at Whaley Park tonight. (4pm start)
