Hemgesberg Earns Victory For New Lothrop Hornets Varsity In No-Hitter Against Mt. Morris

Jersey Hemgesberg was brilliant on the rubber on Friday, as she threw a no-hitter to lead New Lothrop Hornets  past Mt. Morris 15-0.

Brooke Birchmeier led New Lothrop Hornets to victory by driving in four runs. She went 3-for-3 at the plate. Birchmeier drove in runs on a stolen base in the second, a single in the third, and a single in the fourth.

New Lothrop Hornets  scored six runs in the third inning. Emma Muron, B. Birchmeier, Joely Angst, Julia Martin, and Charleigh Birchmeier all drove in runs in the frame.

Hemgesberg earned the win for New Lothrop Hornets . She surrendered zero runs on zero hits over four innings, striking out seven and walking one.

New Lothrop Hornets  collected 15 hits on the day. Martin, Birchmeier, Alyssa Schnell, Isabel Henige, and Muron each managed multiple hits for New Lothrop Hornets . Birchmeier and Martin each collected three hits to lead New Lothrop Hornets . New Lothrop Hornets  stole 11 bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Muron led the way with five. New Lothrop Hornets  was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Henige had the most chances in the field with seven.

Pitching By Samantha Shuts Out Mt. Morris, New Lothrop Hornets  Takes The Win

Samantha Birchmeier threw a shutout to lead New Lothrop Hornets past Mt. Morris 16-0 on Friday.

In the first inning, New Lothrop Hornets  got their offense started. New Lothrop Hornets  scored three runs when Hemgesberg doubled.

New Lothrop Hornets  put up six runs in the second inning. New Lothrop Hornets  big inning was driven by a triple by Brianna Kline, a single by Emma Muron, and a home run by Charleigh Birchmeier.

Birchmeier took the win for New Lothrop Hornets . She lasted four innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero.

New Lothrop Hornets launched two home runs on the day. Birchmeier had a four bagger in the second inning. Hemgesberg went yard in the third inning.
