The Varsity Boys are now 17-5 with a huge win over a very good Hemlock Huskies team tonight in the 2nd round of the district tournament. Hemlock was able to score 20 point in the first quarter after making two, 3 pointers as well as landing 14 points under the basket. Coach Simons is very pleased with how his team bounced back in the 2nd quarter and took the lead going in to the locker room at the half. Key defensive plays from Junior, Avery Moore, blocking their best inside shooters, kept NL in the lead. After struggling the last 3–4 games offensively, the boys displayed much better balance tonight with Avery scoring 13, Jacob Graves, 19 and Kollin Lienau with 14. Bryce Richardon and Dylan Shaydik also contributed to the offensive scoring.
