Despite a Third Quarter Defecit, Varsity Boys Rally Past Byron
The win over Byron was the 5th overall and 4th in a row for the Varsity Boys.
It was a close game that went back and forth and the momentum shifted several times throughout especially in the second half.
Late during the third quarter, down by eight points, Coach Simons called a time out and changed to a more aggressive defense that was the difference in the game. Byron was forced to speed up and that created some turnovers and it really got our offensive game going forging a New Lothrop 15-0 run.
Kollin Lienau had a great game tonight as the sole senior out there and he’s so consistent and he leads by example. The bench play was crucial in the win as well with Trevor Bishop and Luke Birchmeier giving some big minutes and a big spark tonight.
