The Varsity Spikers walked away with the Championship trophy over the weekend at the Stockbridge Tournament beating Stockbridge by the score of 25-17, 25-19. In pool play the Hornets went 3-0-1 beating Lansing Sexton 25-12, 25-14, Portland 25-16, 25-18 splitting with Jackson Christian 20-25, 25-19 and beating Maple Valley 25-19, 25-22. They advanced as a 1st place overall seed in the Gold Bracket before a tough fought battle against Dansville 25-20, 20-15, 15-9. The Hornets then beat Stockbridge in the finals.The Ladies went 5-0-1 on the day.
