Hornet Baseball Gets Two Sweeps

New Lothrop swept Breckenridge 14-6 and 11-6 on Friday and Chesaning 8-2, 13-2 in MMAC play on Monday. The Hornets used the entire team to earn the four victories. Some highlights included three homeruns by Brady Birchmeier and two by Avery Morse. Ty Kohlman had seven hits, Joe Bellmer had six, Camm Orr six, and Matt Kieffer was dominant in the Chesaning Series with five hits and five rbi. Birchmeier picked up two pitching victories (one in relief). Camm Orr and Julius Garza won on the mound as well. The Hornets prepare to travel to Pewamo to face Division Three #4 Pewamo-Westphalia on Thursday.
