Freeland hosted their Invitational at Startford Woods in Midland today with 12 schools attending. The Varsity girls fonished 7th with 231 pts with Benzie Central winning with 46 pts. Kiera Hansen from Freeland won the race running 19:28. NL's Clara Krupp finished 7th running 20:18 followed by Alana Beckman 52nd, 23:07, Sidney Green 58th, 23:39, Lindsey Wendling 60th, 23:49 & Lauren Lane 61st 23:51 -each scored for the girls. Also running was Julia MArtin 24:18 & Chalea Herron 24:28.

Carson Hersch was runner up for the Varsity guys race by 5 seconds. He ran 15:47, just one second off his PR.  (Hunter Jones of Benzie won, 13:42).  Saginaw Heritage guys won with 46 pts & NL was 7th with 231. Drew Kohlmann finished 11th, 17:22, Thomas Heslip 45th, 18:29, Cole Yaros 51st, 18:38 & Ryan Heslip 58th, 19:07 -each scored for the guys. Also running was Jason Weber 19:54 & Aaron Vincke 20:00.

The JV girls race for NL was led by Madison Wheeler who ran 25:19, followed by Kendra Gross 25:29, Taylor Yaros 25:31, Danielle Wendling 25:45 PR & Jillioan Rau 26:07 -each scored for the girls who finished 6th overall with 178 pts (Benzie won with 24 pts). Also running with the girls was Alivia Angst 26:32, Abbey Angst 26:39, Isabel Henige 27:28, Maria Magnuszewska 28:29, Isabella Morell 28:45 PR, Haley Vincke 28:59, Kiara Gemalsky 29:02 PR, Makenzi Tallon 37:01 & Jasmine Eickholt 41:00.

The NL JV boys was led by Zach Craven who ran 19:55, followed by Josh Collins 20!4, Logan Wolford 20:17, Dominic Poletti 20:22 PR & Brennan Unangst 20:24 - each scored for the guys who finished 6th with 145 pts (Hertiage won with 32 pts). Also running for the JV guys was Parker Noonan 20:53, Matt Kieffer 21:41 PR , Alex Milks 21:49, Luke Henige 21:58,Max Spencer 22:34, Sam Collins 23:00, Dillan Morell 23:57, Andrew Sharpe 24:22 & Ethan Brunner 27:29.

Midland Public won the MS girls race with 18 pts (their KAtie watkins won 12:08). Nl girls were 4th with 115 pts. Kyra Edwards led the girls finishing 12th, 13:34, Josie Bauman 20th, 14:01 PR, Cailyn Adduddell 24th, 14:23. Rylee Elkins 43rd, 15:09 PR & Klara Mulcahy 48th, 15:27 -each scored for the girls. Also running was Sara Dammann 15:28, Maya Newman 15:33, Laura Sharpe 16:17, Emma Lebourdais 16:54, Ashlyn Albert 17:32, Olivia Gillett 18:03, Anna Tallon 19:44 PR, & Abby Burr 24:47 PR.

TJ Hansen of Freeland won the MS boys race (10:42) with SAginaw White Pine winning with 43 pts. Nl boys were 5th (133pts) with Lieu Vincke leading the NL boys running 15th, 12:41 PR, John Gross 25th, 13:08 PR, August Birkmeier 45th, 13:51 PR, Hunter Cromwell 13:58, Kyle Hinrichs 14:03 -each scored for the team. Also running was Westin Sweers 14:51, Alex Bauman 14:55, Paul Sharpe 15:12, Jasper Andres 15:15, Matthew Hughes 15:21, Kaden Ingram 15:23 PR, Jared Angst 16:39 PR, & Tim Schmier 23:37.
