Six RBI Day For Samantha Birchmeier Seals The Deal In New Lothrop Hornets Victory Over Lakeville
Samantha Birchmeier was clutch at the plate with runners on base on Monday, driving in six on two hits to lead New Lothrop Hornets past Lakeville 12-8 on Monday. Birchmeier drove in runs on a grand slam in the fourth and a single in the fifth.
New Lothrop Hornets earned the victory despite allowing Lakeville to score five runs in the seventh inning.
Jersey Hemgesberg earned the victory on the rubber for New Lothrop Hornets . She went six and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on ten hits and striking out two. Birchmeierthrew one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
New Lothrop Hornets Varsity smacked one home run on the day. Birchmeier had a dinger in the fourth inning.
