New Lothrop Hornets Varsity's Hemgesberg Throws  Two No-Hitters To Defeat Montrose

In the First Game

Jersey Hemgesberg was brilliant on the rubber on Monday, as she threw a no-hitter to lead New Lothrop Hornets Varsity past Hill-McCloy 17-0.

Charleigh Birchmeier led New Lothrop Hornets Varsity to victory by driving in five runs. She went 2-for-3 at the plate. Birchmeier drove in runs on a walk in the second and a grand slam in the fourth.

New Lothrop Hornets Varsity got things moving in the first inning, when Hemgesberg homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

New Lothrop Hornets Varsity scored six runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught by New Lothrop Hornets Varsity was led by Isabel Henige, Emma Muron, Julia Martin, Birchmeier, Brooke Birchmeier, and Joely Angst, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Hemgesberg got the win for New Lothrop Hornets Varsity. She surrendered zero runs on zero hits over four innings, striking out nine and walking zero.

New Lothrop Hornets Varsity launched two home runs on the day. Birchmeier went deep in the fourth inning. Hemgesberg had a dinger in the first inning.

New Lothrop Hornets Varsity racked up 14 hits. Hemgesberg, Henige, Martin, Angst, and Birchmeier all had multiple hits for New Lothrop Hornets Varsity. Birchmeier, Angst, Martin, Henige, and Hemgesberg each collected two hits to lead New Lothrop Hornets Varsity. New Lothrop Hornets Varsity was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Henige made the most plays with nine.

In the 2nd Game

Hemgesberg continued her dominance on the rubber throwing her second no hitter as New Lothrop mercied Montrose 16-0 in 3 innings.

Julia Martin and Charleigh Birchmerier each had 3 hits in the game, with Birchmerier hitting her second home run in as many games.  Martin and Birchmerier each had 4 RBIS to lead the Hornets.

New Lothrop racked up 15 hits in the night cap with every starter recording at least one hit.  Angst, Birchmeier, Martin and Hemgesberg all had multiple hits.

New Lothrop Hornets Varsity was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Henige made the most plays with eight.

Hemgesberg got the win on 0 hits 8 strikeouts and 2 walks.
