MS Cross Country teams both ran Saturday morning at Cummings Center for the Genesee CC Invitational where the Lady Hornets captured 2nd place overall.

Leading the Hornets this week was Ava Wenzlick finishing 9th overall with a time of 16:27. Along with Mackenzie Thomas and Ali Hunt both finishing at 16:36.8. Strong finishes also from Elaina Bruff (16:43), Miriam Sharpe (17:41), Gabrielle Ryan(18:44), Riley Sovis(18:48), Ruey Nuemann (19:13) and Anna Lucius (19:55). New Lothrop girls had 6 runners in the Top 20.

For the boys race, pace was set by Sawyer Black finishing 10th overall with a respectable time of 14:10. Followed by teammates Ryder Andres (15:21), Aiden Jacobs (15:24), David Birchmeier (15:53), Cayden Chamberlain (15:57), Bentley Loudenslager (16:21), Gus Wickerham (17:00), Anderson Alguire (17:09), Ronald Thomas (17:25), Grant Oginsky (19:20), Damian Poletti (20:11) and Liam Gillett (21:32). New Lothrop boys had 4 in the Top 20.

Hornets will next travel to Showboat Park in Chesaning for the MMAC Jamboree #1 on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
