Brynne Birchmeier Selected as September Kiwanis Female Scholar Athlete of the Month

Brynne Birchmeier was selected as the September Kiwanis Female Scholar Athlete of the Month and was honored by the Flint Kiwanis Club at their monthly meeting at The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan's Hunger Solution Center in Flint on September 28 in front of her parents, her coach, and athletic director.

Brynne was presented with a plaque, her softball coach, who also happens to be her father, spoke about Brynne and her accomplishments on the field and off.  Brynne will be in the running for the Kiwanis Athlete of the Year Award and a $2,000 scholarship in Grand Blanc at the Kiwanis Athlete of the Year Awards Ceremony /Luncheon on May 14 ,2024.

Over the course of her softball career, Brynne has earned quite a handful of awards.  Her Freshman year, she earned 1st Team All-Conference MMAC; MHSSCA All-State Honorable Mention; her sophomore year, she earned 1st Team All-Conference MMAC; MHSSCA All-State Honorable Mention; her junior year, she was Team Captain, 1st Team All-Conference MMAC; MHSSCA All-State 1st Team.  She will competing her senior year in wrestling and softball.

She is currently ranked first in her class with a 4.0556 GPA, while scoring a 1260 on the SAT.  Brynne is a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council.  After high school, she plans to finish her 5th year program at Lansing Community College, and then transfer to a University to pursue a degree in sports management.
